He obtained a diploma as a specialist in gemology and precious stone restoration at the end of two years of studies in 1994-1996, becoming an Appraiser for the Court of Ravenna in the same year.

Since 2000 he has founded his own gemological analysis and precious stone cutting laboratory, always since In 2000 he began traveling to countries such as India, Thailand and Hong-Kong directly purchasing the precious stones with which he personally designs all his jewels.

In 2004 and in 2005 he taught gemology courses for goldsmiths and jewelry sector workers.

In 2013 he obtained the Diamond Graduate D.G. diploma and Pearls Grading & Evaluation Course at IGI Antwerp.

In 2014 he obtained the Colored Stones Graduate C.S.G. diploma and Graduate Gemologist G.G. at IGI Antwerp.

Since 2015 he has been devoting himself assiduously to the photomicrography of inclusions, a topic on which he has held seminars.
