The type and amount of grant funds awarded are determined by the AGA Educational Scholarship and Research Grant Committee (ESRGC) as authorized by the AGA Board. Past AGA Gemological Research Grants of up to $10,000 have been awarded to gemological research projects based on the value of the research project to the gemological community as determined by the AGA Board.
