Brad Wilson, MSc, FCGmA

Brad earned BSc and MSc degrees in geology in the 1980s and later, became a Fellow of the Canadian Gemmological Association (FCGmA). During his undergraduate days he learned to facet in order to cut a smoky quartz crystal he discovered in northern Canada. Since then, his combined interest in geology and Canadian gemstones led him all across Canada prospecting for minerals and rough gemstones. He currently operates “Alpine Gems” and is the Canadian partner of “Coast to Coast Rare Stones International”, a coloured gemstone company specializing in rare, soft, and collector gemstones.

In addition to selling gemstones, Brad works as a gemstone exploration consultant, offering property evaluation and exploration services specifically for gemstones. He has published several articles on Canadian gemstones.
